Duolingo’s app makes English learning easy for Hindi speakers

Now Hindi speakers can easily learn English language with the help of Duolingo. It is a free app created by Luis von Ahn, the creator of CAPTCHA. Earlier Duolingo was available in other languages – Spanish, German, Italian, French, Dutch, Polish, Japanese, Chinese, Romanian, Indonesian, Turkish and Russian language etc. With this update in the app, international languages can be easily accessible to the native Hindi speakers.

This step by Duolingo was taken to cater world’s second largest populated nation where language learning is increasingly growing popular. India has 22 regional languages so the need of speaking a second language is very important- which is the main reason behind the launch of Duolingo’s Hindi version app.

Duolingo 4.0 for Hindi users is available for free download on iOS and android. This app lets the user to choose the course after he has logged in. There are various combinations of courses to choose from and you can choose it according to your native language. You can also translate phrases with this app.

Von Ahn says,” Duolingo has been completely localized in Hindi language but the courses are specific to Hindi users. The first is English for Hindi speakers created by Indians who understand the nuances of Hindi speaking to pick any language. Other users in the world will also be able to pick Hindi easily.
